Can I Use the AM3S640DX to Replace 7.75 x 15 Trailer Tires

Question:
Can I use these tires on a 1976 20foot Prowler trailer. The trailer is dual axels and weighs approx. 4000 lbs. The current tires on the trailer are 7.75x15 . Thanks.

Yes. The # AM3S640DX would be a good choice to replace the 7.75 x 15 tires on your 1976 Prowler trailer. This tire/wheel combo has an 1860-lbs per tire capacity, so you'll be well over the 4000-lbs GVWR of the trailer and for the 7.75 x15 tire size you mentioned, the ST205/75D15 tire is the closest modern tire size. Since this is a tire/wheel combo, I do recommend making sure that your trailer has hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern so that the wheels are compatible.
If you find that your hubs have a different bolt pattern on them, let me know what you've got and I can look to see if we have anything else that will work for you.
