Question:

I sold my Jeep Wrangler and now plan to flat tow our 2018 Ford Fiesta SE. It is not an EcoBoost. I have a Blue Ox Patriot 3 braking system and a Blue Ox Alpha motorhome mount tow bar. I need: Base plate for the Fiesta. Adapters for my tow bar (if required). Magnetic LED taillights. (I don't want to mess with a wiring kit) Battery disconnect switch. Replacement breakaway connection for the Patriot 3.

The Optronics Magnetic LED Tow Light Kit - Weatherproof - Red Lens - 20' Wiring Harness - Qty 2 # TLL21RK has a protective label pad on the bottom to keep from scratching paint. You can see this at the 2 minute mark of the attached review video. I do recommend wiping down the vehicle with a microfiber cloth before putting the lights on simply to remove any dust or debris that could be abrasive between the scratch free label and the paint for added security.

For your 2018 Ford Fiesta SE without EcoBoost you will want the following: -Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2650 which is directly compatible with your Blue Ox Alpha tow bar. -If you want magnetic lights, you can use the wired # TLL21RK we previously discussed. If you want wireless magnetic lights, I recommend the Roadmaster Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LEDs # RM-2120 for a 4-way or 7-way trailer connection (adapter needed see attached video) or the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LEDs - 4-Way Flat Connector - Wireless # C6304. If you have a 7-way instead of a 4-way connection, we have adapters available to make this work. - Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766 - The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR you referenced utilizes the Second Vehicle Breakaway Kit for Blue Ox Patriot Supplemental Braking Systems # BRK2505.
