Question:
The controller says for electric over hydraulic brakes, will this work on pure electric brakes? I have never had hydraulic brakes on any of my trailers so I am not sure how they differ from the standard electric magnet activated brakes. 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Thank you

The Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Brake Controller, part # RED24FR is compatible with either electric or electric over hydraulic brakes, so it'll work just fine with your trailer.
Electric over hydraulic brakes use a brake controller, but on the trailer there's a hydraulic pump that operates the brakes.
If your Cherokee has the factory 7-way trailer connector, the only other part you'll need is the # RED67FR plug and play harness. The connector is located to the right of the steering wheel below the dash as shown in the provided photo.
If you don't have the factory 7-way, the connector won't be presnt and you'll hardwire the controller by first adding the # C56406 trailer wiring harness and using our # ETBC7 Brake Controller Installation Kit. I'll link you to the installation instructions for the installation kit. You'll also need the Redarc universal wiring pigtail, part # RED69FR
