Usually when your Greystone Electric Fireplace # 324-000068 is making noises like this, it's trying to tell you there's some sort of malfunction; I would first recommend unplugging the unit and letting it sit unplugged for 15 minutes or so, to allow it to reset. Sometimes this will allow the unit to function again properly, but if not, because there are no replacement parts available it will need to be replaced.
If you've got a 26" unit you can replace it like for like using # 324-000068, but I've also linked our entire selection of fireplaces for you to have a look at in the event that you'd like to go with something different.
