How to Tell if 2004 Ford F-250 has Factory Rail Kit/Factory Prep Package

The first year the Ford 5th wheel prep package came out was 2011, so your 2004 Ford F-250 does not have the prep package, though we can still get you set up with a 5th wheel hitch and base rails. For those I recommend the following:

- Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Square Tube Slider RP30051

- Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035

This is the best option for your 2004 F-250 because you get a high-quality sliding 5th wheel hitch and base rails at a better price than similar hitches. This is a very good value for a hitch that has a pivoting head to make hooking up easier than other hitches and a 16,000 lb capacity which is plenty for your F-250.

If you also need a 5th wheel wiring harness the correct part is the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410.
