Question:

Hello, My Sequoia has factory raised side rails with crossbars. Can I mount the Pioneer Platform directly to those crossbars? It appears that the Pioneer SX legs that mount to the raised side rails. Plus, if I used those, Id end up either having to take the existing crossbars off, or having them be buried under the platform.

If you've already got crossbars on your 2016 Toyota Sequoia the RhinoRack Pioneer platform can be mounted directly to those bars, but you'll want to use a different Pioneer platform setup than the # RR75TB with the Backbone Mounting System # RRRFJB1.

I recommend using the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 58" Long x 47" Wide # RR42115BF. These are designed to fit on round, square, aero and most factory bar shapes, so this will work well for you.
