How To Mount A Rooftop Tent

Question:

Im seeing that most rooftop tents have a U-clamp style mount to attach to roof cross bars. Is there something that can utilize the T-Track of the WingBars as an alternative to mounting with the stock hardware?

Expert Reply:

The Yakima SkyRise # Y07437 and Thule Tepui # TH8001KUK02 lines of rooftop tents only offer clamp style mounting to your roof rack. There is not a factory solution for these tents to be mounted in the T-Track on WingBars # TH711220.

Since these tents add a considerable amount of weight I would recommend following the included instructions for each manufactures tent.
