Can a Tandem Axle Gooseneck Trailer Be Lifted With Larger Tires

Question:

I am trying to gain more ground clearance for my tandem axle gooseneck trailer. I currently have 205/90D15s and there is 6 1/2inch of space between the two tires. Can you recommend a tire size that will add roughly 1-2 inches.

I do have options to help you gain more ground clearance on a tandem axle gooseneck trailer but installing larger tires won't really be viable. The best option would instead be a lift kit, the Tandem Axle Lift Kit part # RR23QX. The reason for this is because the tires you have now are already super tall and you'd need to upgrade hubs (if possible) to be able to use taller tires and this would only be marginal, 1/2" - 1" and by that time you are most likely going to spend more than the lift kit above.
