I see reports of this draining the vehicles battery. How is it powered and how can you prevent battery drain?

We have not had any issues with our customers and the TireMinder i10 TPMS for RVs and Trailers w/ Signal Booster # TM56FR draining trailer batteries but a great idea is to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 from the 12 volt accessory pin of your 7-way (1:00 position) to the positive battery post and it'll be topped off from our tow vehicle as you are driving.
