Question:

I saw the recommendation of Swagman XTC 2 over 18085. I understand 18085 comes with hitch and bike lock and Swagman XTC2 doesn't. Is that correct? Will this work with Lexus GX 470, 2004 model? Thanks.

The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # C18085 does come with keyed alike locks for securing your bikes to the rack and for the rack to the hitch. This fits your 2014 Lexus GX-470 as long you have a 1-1/4" or 2" hitch in place. If you need a hitch, I have attached a link below for the hitches that will fit your Lexus.

The Swagman XTC-2 # S64670 also fits your vehicle. I am a big fan of Swagman's bike racks. The XTC-2 is a great value but it lacks a few features I find important. You can use Swagman's Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable # S64031. This gives you a locking hitch anti-rattle bolt and a cable lock to secure your bikes with one key.

With the Curt the locks are built in but you also get the folding and tilting feature which is really nice to have for getting access into your GX-470's hatch. The folding feature is great because it saves space at the back of your vehicle when you don't have bikes loaded.

The Swagman XTC-2 Tilt # S64671 is a good middle option. It still lacks locks and the folding feature, but it can be tilted away from your vehicle with bikes loaded for hatch access. I attached a video about this bike rack.
