Question:

What are the minimum distances on the ratcheting hooks? How far down do they go? My wifes step through is 18inch from the ground to the frame contact point at center of the bike. My fully suspended bike is 27. I like pretty much everything about this rack and am hoping to not have to buy a bar for either or both of our bikes. Thank you

Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # S64683 will go down to 12 inches, so you will not have any issue with the frame 18 inches from the ground. Swagman does recommend the bike adapter # 64005 for lower frames like that just to add a higher point of contact for less movement, but it is not required. This is a very nice bike rack that comes with the lock for the hitch and the bikes. It also has a very nice tilting feature for easier access to your cargo area of your vehicle even with bikes installed.
