Question:
I have a boat trailer with tandem axles. I have surge and want to change to electric controller. I am completely changing the entire system. Please bid the Timbrens with as much stainless steel as you can get. I will need a list and price from you for everything I will need to be ready to bolt on wheels. Please also include the stainless steel lug nuts. I will need the electric brake components and all the hoses and fittings to have a complete system so when I start the install I don’t have to run down anything. Let me know if the units will have five lugs or six and I will shop for wheels and tires here as well as through you. Please give me a separate price for aluminum wheels I saw on your site. Also a price for four tires with a good load range capacity, I prefer to buy good, not cheap so I want a decent tire.

We do have all the parts you need for a total conversion to a disc brake electric over hydraulic braking system to go with the Timbren axle-less suspension system. This will include stainless steel brakes and wheel lug nuts, as well as all of the hoses. The hubs will have six lugs so the wheels will need to have a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, and I will offer my recommendation for those wheels and tires.
Here is the list you were wanting with all the needed parts for a new set up:
- Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # TASR35HDS04
- Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly - Galvanized # 8-213-51UC1-EZ
- 10-10 Grease or Oil Double-Lip Seals # RG06-090 (You will need to replace the grease seals that come with the hub to fit the spindle. These have a 0.1" smaller inner diameter)
- Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - Stainless Steel # K2R526S
- HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator with Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness # HS381-9067
- Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Tandem Axle - 20 feet # 20TA-BLKIT or 25 feet # HS496-252
- Castle Rock ST225/75R15 Radial Tire w/ 15" Liger Aluminum Wheel # LH29FR
- Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 1/2"-20 - Stainless Steel # LHLR103
- LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease - 14 oz. Cartridge Item # L11390 with Grease Gun # L30200
The hub is not stainless steel but was the one needed to fit the Timbren systems. The actuator kit includes the necessary breakaway kit, junction box and 7-way. I do recommend a tire and wheel combo so you don't have to have the tire mounted on the wheel. The two options I gave are aluminum wheels like you requested and the tires are a high-quality Castle Rock tire. These are ST225/75R15 load range D tires with a 2,540 lb capacity each. I like them for their deep 9.5/32" tread depth, as well as the fact that they have a long 5-year warranty and 2 years of free roadside assistance. I offered two options in case you liked one style of wheel over the other.
Just to be thorough, if you don't have a 7-way on your tow vehicle and a brake controller compatible with an electric over hydraulic actuator, though I assume you do have them.
You will need the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module for Ford and Chevy Brake Controllers # HBA-CAM if you have the factory integrated brake controller in a 2007 or 2008 Ford or 2007 through 2018 Chevy.
I have also added links to a couple video installs for you to check out which you may find helpful.
