I just bought the WandB 2 5/16 ball and wanted to know what socket size I need to tighten the nut down?

Expert Reply:
The nut on a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank, like the B&W # BWHB94002, takes an 1-7/8" socket, like # ALL643216 (for use with a 3/4" drive socket wrench) for example.
Hitch balls with an 1-1/4" shank require 450 ft/lbs of torque.
