Question:

I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited edition, 6cyc gas that has no factory trailer harness. We will be towing a small pop up with electric brakes. I want to buy a hitch, wireless break controller Curt Echo? and necessary wiring. If this is possible, what do I need to buy? Since this is a leased vehicle, I dont want to modify body or dash. Thanks

For your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, I recommend starting with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13182 which is an easy bolt on option that is great for towing. For your wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118727 which installs behind your tail lights to the factory harness and draws power directly from your vehicle battery. There is no splicing required. You will then use the # ETBC7L for the 7-way adapter and power line for the Curt Echo brake controller # C51180. If you don't attach the reverse light function of the ETBC7L, then you won't need to do any splicing into your factory wiring at all.

This combination is my recommendation for your leased Jeep. For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10037B with anti-rattle lock # 63232.
