Compatibility of Reese 5th Wheel Install Frame Brackets with Unknown Brand Bed Rails
Question:
I have a 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty. I have rails that don’t have a name on them. Will this install kit work with generic rails?

The bracket kit you'd need for your 2008 Ford F350 is # RP50082. The # RP50026 is for a 2011-2016 model, and wouldn't work on your truck.
The # RP50082 bracket will be compatible with your rails as long as they're industry standard, and have the spacing shown in the provided photo. We recommend going with brackets and rails from the same manufacturer, so the weight capacity is known, and it's a known fact that the bracket and rail have been tested together. That isn't the case if the brands of the brackets and bed rails are mixed.
The bracket kit that includes the Reese bed rails is part # RP50082-58.
If you don't already have a 7-way tralier connector installed in the bed of your truck, you can install one using part # 50-97-410. If you click the provided link, you can see installation videos for the brackets and the trailer wiring harness.
