Im curious if this adapter will fit a 2018 GMC 2500 with the factory puck system?

The correct adapter for the factory puck system on your 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 is the part # DM6194 if you have a 6-1/2' bed or part # DM6206 if you have an 8' bed (because the puck dimensions vary between the bed lengths for some reason).
The adapter # DM6333 that you referenced is a fit for a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 with either the 6-3/4' or the 8' bed.
If you don't already have a 5th wheel hitch and your pickup has a short bed then I recommend the Hijacker Autoslide 18K # DM8550034 or 21K # DM8550035, but for a long bed you'll want the stationary 21K # DM8550043. I really like the Hijacker head line of 5th wheel hitches because they have a jaw that wraps completely around the king pin and is further secured by a 3/4" steel bar, plus they have double-pivot heads with polyurethane dampeners which work together to give you one of the smoothest towing experiences on the market.
The autosliding hitches are a great option over manual sliding 5th wheel hitches because you can make tight turns without leaving the comfort of your cab or worrying that you might hitch your truck cab with your trailer.
