Is There Max Width Kayak etrailer Carrier e98878 Can Fit

Question:

Thanks for the information. Will these fit a 2 “ to 2 1/4 inch square crossbar? If not, can longer attachment bolts be added? Thanks

I checked with the engineers who designed the etrailer kayak carrier # e98878 who told me that as long as you can get the strap around the kayaks it's fine and that there isn't a max width for it. Your 35 inch wide kayaks would easily fit. The height of the upper part of the kayak is 15-1/2 inches.

I spoke with the engineer who designed the rack and he said the rack will fit your bar size and also that if longer bolts were needed the size is M8.
