Amperage Draw of Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001

Question:

I would like to install this on my Aliner trailer 2007. I will be upping it with a 2014 BMW X3. The question is - the 12v supply to the trailer runs to the battery for camping. How much will this draw. Should I install a On/Off switch on the power to stop the draw.

The Autowbrake brake controller part # 3430001 that you referenced draws up to 15 amps. It's only going to draw amperage when the controller is activating the trailer brake so it would not be something you'd need to install an on/off switch on to prevent battery drain.
