Question:
Hi I am building a camper and would like to install a parking brake. I am using 4inch square tubing for the tongue and do not have that much room left on it. How long is the handle assembly and can it be mounted on the side of the tongue?

I contacted Titan and you can install the lever of the Titan Breakaway and Parking Kit for Drum Brakes part # T2385200 to the side of the tongue as long as you keep the cables straight to be able to activate the breakaway if the trailer disconnects. The bracket for the lever (that part that attaches to the trailer tongue) is about 10" long.
You do want to be sure your braking assemblies are equipped to add a parking kit. If you take a look at the backing plate of your assemblies there should be an actuating lever at the top of the assembly that you attach the parking brake cable too. I have attached a photo for your reference. If you do not have these levers you will need different braking assemblies. If you let me know the diameter of your assemblies and your axle capacity I can make a recommendation.
