The 'BB' is actually an '88', which means that the fireplace blower fan is overheating. This most commonly occurs if the vent air intake atop the unit and the mesh on the front of the fireplace is partially or fully obstructed.

Once you've checked the intake/outlet and removed any obstructions, unplug the fireplace for 15-20 minutes to allow the logic board to reset. Furrion says that turning off the unit at the switch isn't always enough to reset the unit.

Also, if the unit is running in a 40° or below environment, the fan can overheat since it'll be constantly running. The fireplace isn't meant to take the place of a furnace, it's meant to supplement an existing heat source.
