Installing Gustafson RV Ceiling Light # 277-000400-331

Question:
I would like to take out the puck light that is currently over my RV trailer dinette and replace with this flush mount light. My question is what is the best method for installing this light where the puck light was? In other words, do I need any special hardware or screws? When you take the puck light out, you are left with just a hole do I just screw in the new fixture into the ceiling and will that alone hold the new light in place?

The Gustafson RV Ceiling Light # 277-000400-331 that you referenced features a mounting base with 3 bolt holes that are spaced apart by 4-1/4" (center to center). When installing the assembly you can indeed drill into the ceiling itself for secure attachment.
Hardware is not included with the light but you can easily obtain this at a local hardware store. The actual size/length of the screws will just depend on the thickness and material of your RV's ceiling. Depending on how your old puck light was mounted you could also just reuse its hardware.
