Question:
Defender 55306 vs 55313? I have a 50 amp camper for 2nd AC not installed. I have no intention of installing 2nd AC. I have used 30 amp conversion and 45 amp conversion 45 works best and will need 55025. I am considering 55306 but question if it is really necessary vs 55313, especially cost-wise. I have seen 55306 for $vs $. Could probably do $ but not the higher, especially since I also need 55025. Any suggestions, especially the variable price of 55306. Is it also my understanding that 55313 once surged becomes obsolete? I have dealt with etrailer before with complete satisfaction and trust. FYI I am a 76 year old female traveling alone with PU and 30 camper trailer.

The Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer part # CAM55313 and Camco RV Power Defender Voltage Protector part # CAM55306 are similar in that they both work to protect the trailer from power surges and have diagnostic lights to help with troubleshooting. However, the Voltage Protector goes a bit beyond this as the voltage detection system is much more sophisticated sensing both high and low voltages in addition to surges. The Circuit Analyzer can only detects power surges, not high and low voltages. Furthermore, the Voltage Protector can be reset if a surge is detected whereas the Circuit Analyzer would need to be replaced after a power surge.
