Question:
I have a 2020 Ford F-450 8 foot bed with puck system and my fifth wheel is 17500 lbs loaded. I am looking at both B&W fifth wheel hitches. I may want to pull a trailer in the future that is heavier. Are there disadvantages to just getting the 25k now? Is it heavier? they both use my puck system right?

The B&W Companion 20K part # BWRVK3300 and 25K part # BWRVK3305 5th Wheel Hitches for the 2020 Ford F-450 with OEM Pucks are both great choices and will fit into the puck system of your Ford. The 20K will be sufficient enough to tow the 17,500 lb fifth wheel without any issues but if you plan on purchasing a heavier fifth wheel in the future I recommend to go with the 25K. There are not any disadvantages to using the 25K with the lighter trailer so you don't have to upgrade in the future.
The B&W Companion 25K does weigh about 9 lbs heavier than the 20K however the hitch breaks down into pieces so it's easier to manage taking it in and out of the bed. The 9 lb difference isn't a bad sacrifice when you consider spending more money in the future for higher rated capacity fifth wheel hitch when you get a new trailer.
