Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Blue Ox base plate kit. Now this base plate kit is designed to fit your 2019 and newer RAM 2500 and 3500s, excluding the power wagon models and on custom fit parts such as this base plate kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Just input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So this space plate is designed to match your truck's frame exactly and because it is a custom fit, it's going to give you a strong secure connection point for a Blue Ox tow bar, while keeping a clean factory style appearance when you're not towing.
So this is going to be a bolt-on installation, meaning that it attaches to existing mounting points on your truck. No welding's required. You might have to do a little bit of drilling, depending on your particular truck, and I do have it kind of loosely assembled the way it's going to be fitted on your truck, but I just wanna point out that you might be reusing some of the hardware that's already on your truck. So just be aware of that, but this does include the hardware that you're going to need, along with the set of instructions to guide you through the installation process. Now this is also designed to work with trucks that have diesel engines, adaptive cruise control, grill shutters, and turbo setups, which is important because those features can affect how towing equipment fits.
The bracket height is gonna be about 23 1/2 inches. The distance between the brackets about 37 1/4 inches. You are going to also get these safety cables here and additional hardware and a breakaway cable bracket as well. So everything that you see here is going to be included. So if you're wanting to flat tow your Ram 2500 and 3500 safely and cleanly behind your motor home, this kit is gonna be a great option for you to consider.
