Torque Specs When Installling 4-Leaf Double-Eye Leaf Springs on 3,500 Pound Axle

No instruction with mounting hardware for 4 leaf 1700 lb springs, need torque reccommendation......thanks.

Assuming you are using 1/2" diameter U-bolts like # APUBR-1 for your 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e54SR, you will want to torque the nuts down somewhere between 45 and 70 foot pounds.
The shackle bolts at the end of the springs don't require a specific torque spec because you really don't want to tighten them up too much. This can potentially squeeze the shackle straps against the leaf springs and bind up the suspension. The best method is to use lock nuts and simply tighten them until they are snug, backing them off about a 1/4 turn from there.
