2019 Ford F-150 5-1/2’ bed. Will this fit on the shorter bed? Only states that it will fit on 6-1/2’ bed

While there are Thule ladder racks that fit your 2019 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 foot bed, I checked with Thule and the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-501 is not a fit for your bed size, and there are no other sliding ladder racks available for your truck.

A great option for a similar ladder rack is the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XT (Silver) or # TH500XTB (Black). While this rack doesn't slide, it's bars are adjustable vertically so you can put it at whatever position you desire with just the twist of a knob. It also has 72 inches of load bar space, which are longer than most bars so you can carry wider cargo.

The Xsporter Pro does have a 450 lb capacity, so if you were looking for something that has more heft, I recommend the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH27000XT (Silver) or # TH27000XTB (Black) which have an 800 lb capacity. The bars on this rack are 65 inches long and are fixed, but do get you that extra capacity if needed. They also come with load stops that mount directly in the channels on the rack's crossbars.
