Question:
I’m looking for a system to mount to ceiling ribs to create a bed lift in 6 x 12 cargo trailer. Will need to support around 500 pounds. Would this system work? Thanks!

Using the Tow-Rax L-Track # TWSP18DTAB is an interesting idea, though I cannot recommend using any type of track system on your ceiling to use as anchors as they are not designed for that. What that means is they are not tested for use on ceilings and don't have a weight capacity so I can't guarantee this would work, or even be safe.
The best option we can provide is a winch, the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - Ceiling Mount # DL10954 with Hand Winch Cable # DL24104. I have provided a dimensional drawing which includes the bolt holes so you can see if this might be a viable option for you.
I have also added a link to a video review of the winch for you to take a look at.
