Question:
I just bought from etrailer a base plate kit 521434-1 for my jeep liberty. I bought a used Roadmaster sterling tow bar, found I needed more parts. I have the main tow bar which has arms, safety cables with balls on the end, but not the rest. Does pt#910021-00 have everything I need, like the safety cable anchor, safety plates or do I need to order that seperate?

The only other part you will need other than the Roadmaster Quick Disconnect Base Bar, # 910021-00, is the Roadmaster EZ Hook Safety Cable Anchors, # RM-910653. The quick disconnect base bar will include 2 pins to secure the tow bar arms and the top adapter plate to attach the crossbar to the base plates on your 2008 Jeep Liberty. The safety cable anchors will bolt to the bottom of the top adapter plate that will be attached to your base plates.
I have included a video that shows how all of the parts install on your base plates and how the tow bar attaches. These should be the only parts that you will need to use your Sterling All Terrain tow bar with the base plates on your vehicle.
To complete your flat tow set up, you may need a supplemental braking system and a wiring harness if you have not already purchased one. I would recommend the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System, # RM-8700, and a wiring kit.
For a wiring kit, I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154, which will hard wire into your vehicles tail light wiring, but uses diodes to prevent feedback from the RV. If you do not want to hard wire into your vehicles wiring, then you could use the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit, # RM-155. This wiring kit will bypass your vehicles wiring and uses its own bulbs in the tail light housing.
