Question:

If I want to install a class III Hitch w/ a 2inch receiver for a Cargo Carrier. What all will I need to do to install it correctly from start to finish, and and will I need a gate sensor for when the Cargo Carrier is on?

To install a Class III 2-inch hitch on your 2019 Honda Passport all you need is a hitch like the Draw Tite part # 76290 which fits your vehicle and is the correct size and basic hand tools as this comes with all of the needed hardware to complete the install. In the install instructions a 21 mm socket and ratchet is listed, a tap in the size of M14x1.50 IF the threads on your weld nuts happen to be dirty, and a torque wrench.

The hitch and cargo carrier won't interfere with the hands free liftgate sensor either. When the carrier is installed it won't open on its own or anything like that, but when you go to use the sensor you'll just have to kick your foot to either side of the hitch opening.
