Question:

I need to replace a furion 30amp inlet. the current hole is a little bit more than 2.5 inches in diameter. What is the hole size required in the RV

The rear port/socket on the Furrion 30 Amp Power Inlet # 431861 you referenced has a diameter of exactly 2.36 inches so it will fit your existing 2.5 inch hole without issue. In fact the full install manual for this unit recommends a 2.5" hole to be cut so this will work perfectly as a replacement.
