Will Furrion Backup Camera FOS43TASF Work in Place of FOS48TA-BL on Grand Design

Question:

The plate on my prewired 2017 Grand Design backup camera bracket says use a Furrion FOS48TA-BL camera but today all I see is a Furrion FOS43TA-BL camera and that includes on the Furrion website. Does the FOS43TA-BL model work on my trailer even thought the plate says use a FOS48TA-BL?

That's a good question and the FOS48TA-BL is simply a model number that has been replaced and the same Furrion observation systems will absolutely work on yoru 2017 Grand Design. You will need one of the following to work with your pre-wired trailer:

- Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System with Night Vision - Rear Mount - 4.3" Screen # FOS43TASF
- Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System with Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5" Screen # FOS05TASF

These are the exact same system with the only difference being the size of the screen.

Each of these systems will work on your 2017 Grand Design and the camera has a shaded design so glare from the bright sun won't be a problem; it also has infrared so you can use it without issue after the sun goes down. The camera is also waterproof so no matter the weather it will give you a durable, effective way to observe what is happening behind you.
