Question:
my trailer has 2 axels with brakes on all 4 wheels. Is there a difference in the brake assemblies for the front and back axels?
asked by: David J
Helpful Expert Reply:
No. There won't be a difference in the # AKUBRK-35R from front to back, but there is a difference between the Left and Right Hand assemblies. This particular brake is for the right hand side (passenger) of the trailer. The corresponding brake for the driver's side would be # AKUBRK-35L or you can buy the complete set with # AKUBRK-35. For dual axle trailers you'll need 2 of each assembly as well as 2 sets of mounting hardware (lock washers and nuts) # BRKH10B since these brakes do not come with any mounting hardware. If you were going to switch to brakes on a single axle, it's best to put those brakes on the rear axle as opposed to the front.
