The bars on weight distribution systems like the Fastway E2 # FA94-00-0800 are made of flexible steel and work with either clamps or via chains connected to the trailer frame to help distribute weight more evenly across the axles in the tow setup. The bars come in 2 different shapes- Trunnion or round bars, depending on the system. I've attached the help article from our site on weight distribution that you may also find helpful.
