Question:

Having trouble with finding a tow bar kit that will allow for installation on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited with Active Shutters and the Tech Package. I shouldnt have to remove or cut the shutters in order to make it work. Do you know of any solution for this?

The only base plate that does not require trimming of the active shutter system is the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit part # DM9519338. This base plate does require the horizontal slats on each side of the center grille to be removed because that is where the base plate arms will stick out. I have attached a snip from the installation instructions that shows what I mean.

For the tow bar I recommend Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar part # DM9511013. The Excali-bar is a great option because of it's non-binding design and simple disconnect latch. The latch releases the tension in the arms making disconnecting easier even when the setup is not completely level. It also comes with safety cables so there is not a need to purchase them separately.

You will also need a supplemental braking system, a high low adapter, and tow bar wiring. Please let me know if you need any of these parts and I can make additional recommendations.
