Will Convert-A-Ball Step Gate CAB-SG Fit on a Truck with a Roll and Lock Tonneau Cover

Question:
Will this product work when I have a roll and lock cover which has a metal strip at the end of the tailgate for a roll and lock cover ? I saw it looks like there is a curved piece for the face plate may interfer with bottom plate. Thanks Joe

The Convert-A-Ball step gate # CAB-SG does have a 90 degree piece on the bracket that attaches at the very end of the tailgate.
Since this 90 degree piece sits on the outer edge of the tailgate, it does not look like you will be able to install the step gate if a metal rail runs along the edge of the tailgate, as you would not be able to get the gate brackets to sit flush for mounting.
I would recommend a truck bed step like the Westin Truck-Pal, part # 10-3000. These steps are installed with a flat mounting bracket which will sit slightly down from the edge of the tail gate. This would be much better for your application, as it would be able to be installed without interference from the rail system for your roll and lock cover, and you can even remove the ladder from the bracket when not in use.
The only thing you may want to note is that the # 10-3000 steps may still come in contact with the metal rail on the edge of the tailgate when it is extended for use, due to the angle at which it is lowered to the ground.
