Question:
I am planning on purchasing the Reese WD hitch, RP66073. On the trailer tongue, how far back from the center of the coupler do the hanger brackets usually mount? I want to make sure I wont have an interferance problem. Also, how long are the trunnon bars?

In order to install a Weight Distribution System, the distance from the center of the ball to the end of the bracket requires a minimum of 33 inches. In some cases, tongue modification or relocation of items such as LP tanks or Batteries, etc. may need to be done to install the system.
Or, if that is not an option you could install Reese Chain Hangers # RP58305. These will install onto the outsides of the trailer frame and would not interfere with anything above the trailer frame.
I attached installation instructions for the # RP66073 for you to check out also.
The trunnion bars are 33 inches also. Check out the picture I attached that shows this measurement.
