Question:

I have a 2017 CRV that I just got a hitch put on...it is 1 1/4 in...I have a 2inch adapter sleeve. Is it more stable to use this bike rack as is inch with a 1 1/4 end, or to order the 2inch and put the 2inch adapter on my car when I use it? I dont want to put extra stress on the product and am not sure which way would minimize it. Thanks for your feedback!

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you're asking if it would be better to use the bike as is by removing the integrated adapter sleeve or to use it with the sleeve in place using an adapter like # HTAD.

If that's indeed what you're asking, Yakima states that their racks shouldn't be used with a hitch adapter other than what's included with the bike rack.
