Can EZ Lube Spindles Over Fill Trailer Hub And Cause Issues

lm wondering why these caps arent more common. ls there a reason they can be detrimental? l imagine over filling could be a concern.

You are exactly correct, it is very easy to overfill trailer hubs with grease using EZ lube spindles but they still can be helpful if used carefully. The issue though is that not all spindles have the zerk fitting to allow you to pump grease in them which is why caps like the # RG04-040 aren't on all hubs.
I still recommend people pack their bearings by hand as that ensures you get all of the old grease out, new grease in, and you won't have to worry as much about blowing grease seals due to overfilling.
