Question:
I plan on ordering the Curt trailer hitch # 13650 for my 2009 ford escape plus the wiring accessoies, would you know if there is a predetermined hitch height from the ground to the top of the receiver for this set up. Im trying to firure out the correct ball mount and I have the boat trailer coupler height, I would like to be able to order a ball mount with every thing but it has to be right. Thank You

Assuming that your Escape uses a stock wheel/tire, the top of the receiver for the Curt # 13650 would be 16 inches above the ground.
Getting the trailer to tow so that it is level is not an exact science. If you can get it within 1-1/2 to 2 inches of level, you are doing just fine. It is better to have the coupler height a bit higher than level than lower.
In addition to the hitch, wiring harness and ball mount, you might also need the following:
Pin and clip, part # PC3
Locking stainless steel hitch pin, part # e98882
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, # 19260
2 inch trailer ball, part # 19247
I have provided links to the install instructions for the hitch and the wiring harness, as well as links to install videos that you might find helpful.
