Can you tell me what the inside width of the flanges are on this hitch.

I reached out to the manufacturer who told me the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98850 was tapered at the brackets but at its widest point was approximately 38-1/2 inches. The same is true of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323.
Both of these hitches fit a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, as will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75236. I have added links to videos of both the Curt and Draw-Tite hitch being installed on an '06 Tacoma.
Additionally, if you are looking to tow with this truck you will need a wiring harness, which is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118496, which I've also added a link to an install of.
