Question:

I have a ball mount with an additional elevated receiver for a bike rack. I only have 5” if clearance from the bottom of the coupling to the top of the release mechanism. What is the height of the product?

I measured the Buyers Products Auto Latch Straight Tongue Trailer Coupler # 3370091562 and on the linked photo you will see that the height from the bottom of the cast ball coupler up to the top of the latch arm is 4-inches. When the spring-loaded latch is raised to release the coupler from the hitch ball the top of the latch arm will be 4-3/4-inches above that same reference point.

This coupler will definitely fit on your hitch ball without interfering with the shank of your bike rack but you will need to remove the rack in order to lift the unlatched coupler off the ball. This simply means you'll want to couple the trailer before you install the rack in the upper receiver.
