Lippert Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers for 2010 Puma 253FBS
Published 07/15/2019 >
Question:
I have 2010 253FBS Puma Fifth Wheel and wanted to know the right model Equalizer I needed and Bushing kit. The max weight is 10k, so my assumption is that the 4-6k pair should work. Also do these come with installation instructions? Im curious about torque requirements. Thanks

In terms of axle capacity the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 that you referenced is the correct kit, as it's designed for 3,000 to 6,000 pound tandem axles. To ensure these will work as replacements though on your Puma you will need to take a couple measurements on your existing equalizers.
If you measure a horizontal length of around 5-1/2 inches between the bolt holes and a height of around 2-1/2 inches from top bolt hole to bottom bolt hole then they will work perfectly. I have attached an image to assist.
The needed 6 maintenance-free bushings are included with this kit. The only torque requirements in the instructions are to torque the nut onto the equalizer bolt to 30-50 foot pounds
Instructions will be included but I have attached images from the manual below that you can check out in the meantime.
