I have attached for you below a list of troubleshooting steps for the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vents like part # FV807350 which will vary depending on what symptoms your roof vent is having and what particular model you have. The remote reprogramming process which is listed for you in step 1 does not specify which set of arrows to press as it will be dependent on what model you have but since there are only two (speed/temp), it won't take much time to try both which is what I recommend.

Not much troubleshooting there, just how to reprogram the remote. Our remote wont reprogram and I'd like to know the troubleshooting method for that. For instance is there a cleaning procedure to allow the radio frequency to make connection with the unit. Ours will only run on manual and it's hard to get it to do that.

Beyond what's listed above there isn't really any other troubleshooting steps to take if the remote isn't responding at all. Has it ever worked or is this a new issue? I'm thinking there could be an issue with the circuit board on the fan itself.

@ChrisR It has worked in the past and is again now. Seems to work better with the slides out. Which doesn’t make much sense. Haven’t used it at all this week. But probably will on our way home Saturday and Sunday. If it is acting up again I will let you know.
