You say to hold down both arrows, but there are 4 on the wireless remote. Which ones to hold down?

This is a really good question. The short answer is try the up and down arrows for both the speed and the temp separately till the programming works.

So the programming instructions for the remote # FV9068-09 is to hold the remote about a foot from the fan and hold both arrows until all of the lights flash in sync. Since there are two sets of arrows first try the two speed arrows and if that does not work try the temp.
