Question:
I installed this cooler in my 2017 Rav4 LE FWD, however I’m still seeing temperatures upwards of 240F when towing. Is there a larger unit I could use?

If the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13503 does not provide enough cooling power for your 2017 Toyota RAV4 then I recommend you switch to the Derale 19-Row Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13403 which is 13" wide x 7-5/16" tall x 2" deep.
The surface area of this cooler is not much larger but it has a different design, stacked as opposed to the plate-fin design you have now. This will provide much greater cooling power. The Bracket Kit for Derale Adjustable Stacked-Plate Coolers part # D50021 may also be needed depending on where you are mounting the cooler. These kits both use the same size hose so you don't need to swap any of this out, just the cooler and brackets.
