Replacement Boat Trailer Winch for Shoreland'r Profile

I am looking for a replacement winch for a Shorlandrfoot Profile 2000 boat trailer. The boat on the trailer weighs about 2200 lbs. The problem with the existing winch is that the racheting mechanism no longer works. Is there a new ratcheting mechanism that would fit? If not, what winch would be a a straight replacement? Thanks

It might be possible to repair the winch you have currently but without knowing what winch you have it's really pretty hard for me to say if that's possible or not. Most likely it's time for an all new winch like the Dutton Lainson part # DL14627 that you referenced which would work well.
For a compatible cable I recommend part # DL24045 which is 50 feet long.
