Question:

Where is the Brophy hitch ball, model EH68C-C, made? With the extended length, would this D-26 mount, be any weaker than one with similar ratings but in a shorter length Thanks,

The 2" Hitch Ball part # EH68C-C is made overseas but we do have a made in the USA hitch ball option for you, the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set part # 904B which gives you both 2" and 2-5/16" options. The majority of the trailer hitch balls are all made overseas.

In regards to the Extra Long Ball Mount part # D-26, this does indeed have a reduced capacity due to the extended length but not by much. For reference, the Ball Mount part # C45310 is essentially a shorter version of the above but has a 10,000 lb weight capacity compared to the 7,500 lb weight capacity of the Extra Long Ball Mount.
