Question:
I need them to be 2inch apart and outside width of 3. with springs. Is there such a thing?

The Replacement Safety-Chain U-Bolt Kit for Curt Quick Goose 2 Gooseneck Hitch part # C113 has U-bolts that measure 2.7 outside width without the springs. It is possible once the springs are on the U-bolt it measures closer to 3.
I would need to know which goose neck hitch you have and I can be sure to get you the correct the U-bolts to replace it.
