This is clumsy. the male and female ends should be at 180 degrees from each other so that the male end will fit in a 15a receptacle exposing the 30a end for easy plug, un-plug.

For a similar 30 amp to 15 amp adapter that has a the plugs in a different orientation you might like the part # A10-1530BK which I think would fit your needs better.
