Question:

I am buying a 2018 Forest River Rockwood 5th Wheel model 2880 WS. it has a Reese 10k Revolution pinbox Part # 61510. I have a 2016 Dodge 2500 4WD shortbed diesel with a BandW turnover ball already installed in it for livestock trailers we use. Will the Convert -a-ball item above work in this application? If you could let me know today that would be great! Thank you

The Reese 10K Revolution pin box is not directly compatible with an adapter like the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-C5GX1216. This is due to the two pivoting points, one at the gooseneck adapter and the other at the turret. You can lockout the Revolution pin box to give you the single pivoting point if desired, but locking the turret will change the turning clearances so the 7-1/2 inch offset adapter will help.

Your other option which is a much stronger option is to lockout the Revolution turret and then use the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3400 which will give you 12 inches of travel for much better turning clearance. It will fit directly with your underbed gooseneck hitch.
